Information Technology sector is changing at an extremely rapid rate. There is a need to develop the IT practitioners of tomorrow, who will be able to fill the interesting, demanding and highly-paid specialist posts that will be available within a broad spectrum of organisations. Information Technology Level 3 Diploma is a practical, work-related course. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands.

This course provides the knowledge, understanding and skills for students wishing to enter a career as an IT practitioner or technician in the area of business systems, user support, networking and software development and may provide progression to higher education in Computing, Networking or IT Systems.

The course is very practical with plenty of opportunities to implement the theory that you learn. It is mainly course-work based, which, means that you have a very clear understanding of your progress throughout the course, to help you plan and achieve your next steps. Taught by subject specialists, with commercial experience, the main elements of the course cover hardware, networking, programming, graphics and web development.

You will complete course work assignments – covering both your theory and practical knowledge – during your course. There are no formal examinations. You could achieve a Pass, Merit or Distinction on this course.

Candidates can progress to higher education programs including Computing, IT, Networking and Security. Alternatively the qualification may enable students to gain entry to a variety of careers in industry.

This qualification is designed to support learners who want a strong core study of computer science to enable progression to roles in the computing industry.

  • There are flexible qualification requirements for admission, but all applicants will be interviewed during the admissions process.

Government Founds    

If you are an UK/EU citizen or living in the UK on Indefinite Stay, you can receive support from the government via 19+Advanced Learning Loan to cover tuition fees costs while studying, depending on your circumstances. These loans help learners aged 19 and over, to pay the fees charged by approved colleges and training organisations in England.

You can get a tuition fee loan to cover your full course fees. You only start to pay back your student loan after you finish studying and are earning over £21,000 a year.
