The MA in Creative Entrepreneurship is a 12-month intensive program designed to help students focus, develop, and launch new businesses in the creative industries. The year begins with the modules “Research & Academic Practice” and “Iteration & Testing” in which students conduct market research, test their ideas within their industry, and communicate their findings and reflections in written and spoken argument. Students will build on their findings in the second term to create a variety of business planning and pitching documents, as well as investigate and reflect on a variety of case studies related to creative entrepreneurship, leadership, and their own professional sector. During the final term, students will work on a major project that will be negotiated and agreed upon with tutors and will make a significant contribution to the development and launch of their business.
The program’s goal is to assist students in planning, developing, and launching sustainable new ventures in the creative industries. The course, which focuses on student-led projects, guides them through the process of innovation and prototyping in order to find and create bespoke business models for new audiences.
