Atlantic as ‘Data Controller’
For the purposes of our marketing and recruitment operations, and lead generation (including Meta and TikTok advertising), Atlantic Education acts as a “Data Controller”. We also act in this capacity in connection with third-party vendors we may engage in conducting our business, as well as members of the general public who contact us through any channel with questions about our company, services or for any other purpose. This means that in all these cases, we decide whether and how to process your personal data, depending on the nature of our relationship with you and the purpose(s) for which your data is necessary in this context.
Atlantic as ‘Data Processor’
For the purposes of providing our education consulting and placement services to you, Atlantic Education acts as a “Data Processor”, meaning that we process your personal data in accordance with your instructions as our client, and as determined by educational and financial institutions’ application processes in their capacity as “Data Controllers”.
We collect personal data directly from you, giving you control over the information provided.
- Identity Data including first name, middle name, last name, title, date of birth and gender.
- Contact Data including residential address, email address and telephone numbers.
- Financial Data including bank account and payment card details.
- University Application Data including your passport details, national insurance number or other details requested as part of our process to comply with university application requirements.
- Transaction Data including details about payments from you to us and other details of services you have purchased from us.
- Lead Generation Data: Information you elect to send to us through Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) or TikTok Lead Generation features, which may consist of such user’s name and email address, and any additional user information.
- Technical and Usage Data including internet protocol (IP) address, your browser session and geo-location data, device and network information, statistics on page views and sessions, acquisition sources, search queries and/or browsing behaviour, information about your access and use of our website, including through the use of Internet cookies, your communications with our website, the type of browser you are using, the type of operating system you are using and the domain name of your Internet service provider. This includes data collected via tracking technologies such as the Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel.
- Interaction Data including information you provide to us when you participate in any interactive features of our Services, including surveys, contests, promotions, activities or events.
- Marketing and Communications Data including your preferences in receiving marketing from us and your communication preferences.
- Professional data including where you are a worker of ours or applying for a role with us, your professional history such as your previous positions and professional experience. Special Categories Information about health (disabilities) or ethnicity only when required for specific university application quotas or support requirements.
Note on Minors: We do not target our Lead Generation features to minors and do not collect data prohibited by Meta’s Advertising Standards.

- Directly: We collect personal data which you directly provide to us, including through the ‘contact us’ form on our website or when you request our assistance via email, or over the telephone.
- Social Media & Lead Generation: We collect personal data you voluntarily provide when you interact with our advertising campaigns, specifically through Meta Instant Forms (Lead Ads) and TikTok Lead Generation forms.
- Tracking Technologies: We utilize tracking technologies, such as the Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel, on our website to measure ad effectiveness and perform retargeting.
- Indirectly: We may collect personal data which you indirectly provide to us while interacting with us, such as when you use our website, in emails, over the telephone and in your online enquiries or any online campaign published on various social media platforms.

We have enabled Google Analytics Advertising Features including Remarketing Features, Advertising Reporting Features, Demographics and Interest Reports, Store Visits, Google Display Network Impression reporting etc. We and third-party vendors use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) or other first-party identifiers, and third-party cookies (such as Google advertising cookies) or other third-party identifiers together.
