BMus (Hons) COMMERCIAL MUSIC TECHNOLOGY

Resumen The BMus (Hons) Commercial Music Technology focuses on the creation, development and delivery of commercial audio. As audio creators we are reliant on technologies which afford us many creative careers. The course encourages you to explore these technologies and their contextual practice, understanding their history and relevance to future associated industries. Areas of study include basic to advanced recording, mixing, mastering techniques in both analogue and digital landscapes and spatial audio experiences for emerging technologies. Modules are designed to integrate skills, knowledge and understanding of commercial music industries and their future development.   Course length: 3 years

Evaluación

Lectures, seminars, group projects, and e-learning are among the teaching methods used. Written exams, case studies, assignments, projects, and reports are all examples of assessment methods.

Progresión

Throughout the degree, you will gain gradual and progressively deeper knowledge and understanding of music management, music publishing and the recorded music sector rights and royalty streams, live event management and promotion, and the inner workings of the streaming music industry.

 

You can also pursue a Masters Degree in music or a related field.

Autofinanciación The Tuition Fee of the course will vary depending on the institution you wish to study in, as well as your status in the UK. Fondos gubernamentales - Student Finance England          If you are an UK/EU citizen or living in the UK on Indefinite stay, you can receive support from the government via Student Loan Company to cover tuition fees and some living costs while studying, depending on your circumstances. Tuition fee loans, to cover the full cost of your course, are paid directly to the course provider. Maintenance loans can be applied for at the same time, lending you money at the start of each term. You won’t have to pay back the loan until after your course, when you’re earning above a certain level.  Students can still apply for grants if they’re eligible for certain benefits, disabled, or need help with childcare costs.
