✅ Academic Qualifications:

Applicants must provide proof of their highest academic qualification, which can include:

  • Level 3 Qualifications (e.g., A Levels, Level 3 NVQ, diplomas, certificates, or Access to Higher Education Diploma)
  • International Baccalaureate
  • High School Level Qualifications
  • Level 2 Qualifications or equivalent (e.g., GCSEs, Level 2 NVQ, diplomas, certificates)

 

✅ English Proficiency and Admission Process

If English is not your first language, you must complete an English language test that assesses speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. We also accept a range of other English language qualifications.

Applicants will also need to attend an interview with a member of the admissions team.

Course overview

The BMus (Hons) Performance & Production is designed for aspiring musicians, performers, and producers who want to build a career in the contemporary music industry. This degree combines practical training in music performance with advanced study of music production, giving students a well-rounded skillset suited to today’s creative industries.

Throughout the programme, students will develop technical performance abilities, songwriting and composition skills, and production expertise using industry-standard software and equipment. They will also explore music theory, creative collaboration, live performance, and the business aspects of the music industry. With opportunities for live showcases, studio sessions, and collaborative projects, graduates leave with both the artistic and professional skills to thrive in a competitive field.

Fees & funding

Course fee per year: £9.535

The Tuition Fee of the course may vary depending on the institution you wish to study at, as well as your status in the UK. The course is available for UK/EU & International Students and eligible for Student Loans Company (SLC) funding to help cover the cost of your tuition fees and other expenses.

If you are an UK/EU citizen or living in the UK on an Indefinite stay, apart from the tuition fees, you could also receive support from the government via Student Loans Company to cover some living costs while studying.
