✅ English Proficiency and Admission Process

If English is not your first language, you must complete an English language test that assesses speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. We also accept a range of other English language qualifications.

Applicants will also need to attend an interview with a member of the admissions team.

Course overview

The BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care Management with Foundation Year is designed for students who want to develop the knowledge and leadership skills required to manage health and social care services effectively. The course combines healthcare principles with business and management practices, preparing students to lead teams, improve service delivery, and support the wellbeing of individuals and communities.

The Foundation Year provides additional academic support while introducing students to key concepts in health, social care, communication, research, and professional development. It helps students build confidence and develop the study skills needed before progressing to degree-level modules.
Throughout the programme, students explore areas such as healthcare management, leadership, health policy, safeguarding, quality improvement, public health, organisational behaviour, and service delivery. The course encourages students to understand the challenges facing modern health and social care organisations while developing practical management and decision-making skills.

Students also gain transferable skills including leadership, communication, teamwork, analytical thinking, project management, problem-solving, and professional practice, preparing them for management roles across the health and social care sector.

Fees & funding

Course fee per year: £9.535

The Tuition Fee of the course may vary depending on the institution you wish to study at, as well as your status in the UK. The course is available for UK/EU & International Students and eligible for Student Loans Company (SLC) funding to help cover the cost of your tuition fees and other expenses.

If you are an UK/EU citizen or living in the UK on an Indefinite stay, apart from the tuition fees, you could also receive support from the government via Student Loans Company to cover some living costs while studying.
