Applicants must provide proof of their highest academic qualification, which can include:

  • Level 3 Qualifications (e.g., A Levels, Level 3 NVQ, diplomas, certificates, or Access to Higher Education Diploma)
  • International Baccalaureate
  • High School Level Qualifications
  • Level 2 Qualifications or equivalent (e.g., GCSEs, Level 2 NVQ, diplomas, certificates)

 

✅ English Proficiency and Admission Process

If English is not your first language, you must complete an English language test that assesses speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. We also accept a range of other English language qualifications.

Applicants will also need to attend an interview with a member of the admissions team.

Course overview

The BSc (Hons) Computer Science with Foundation Year is designed for students who want to develop strong technical knowledge and practical skills across computing, programming, and modern digital technologies. The programme provides a broad introduction to computer science before progressing into more advanced areas of software development, data, networks, and emerging technologies.
The Foundation Year introduces essential concepts in computing, mathematics, problem-solving, and academic study, helping students build the confidence and technical foundation required for degree-level learning.

Throughout the programme, students explore areas such as programming, software engineering, databases, computer systems, networking, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and web technologies. Fees & funding

Course fee per year: £6.525

The Tuition Fee of the course may vary depending on the institution you wish to study at, as well as your status in the UK. The course is available for UK/EU & International Students and eligible for Student Loans Company (SLC) funding to help cover the cost of your tuition fees and other expenses.

If you are an UK/EU citizen or living in the UK on an Indefinite stay, apart from the tuition fees, you could also receive support from the government via Student Loans Company to cover some living costs while studying.
