✅ Academic Qualifications:
Applicants must provide proof of their highest academic qualification, which can include:
- Level 4 Qualifications (e.g., HNC, Level 4 NVQ, diplomas, or certificates)
- International Foundation Year or equivalent
- Successful completion of the first year of an undergraduate degree program or equivalent qualifications.
- Relevant professional qualifications and experience may also be considered.
- You may need to submit a personal statement outlining your readiness for the course, along with references and evidence of prior learning or professional experience.
✅ English Proficiency and Admission Process
- If English is not your first language, you must complete an English language test that assesses speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. We accept various English language qualifications, such as IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent certifications.
- Applicants will also be required to attend an interview with a member of the admissions team to discuss their application and suitability for the programme.

Course overview
The BSc (Hons) Marketing & Social Media with Foundation Year is designed for students who are interested in digital marketing, branding, online communication, and the growing impact of social media within modern businesses. The course combines traditional marketing principles with contemporary digital strategies, helping students understand how brands connect with audiences across online platforms.
The Foundation Year provides students with additional academic support and introduces key business and communication concepts before progressing to degree-level study. During this stage, students develop confidence in academic writing, research, communication, and critical thinking while gaining an introduction to business, marketing, and digital environments.
Throughout the degree, students explore areas such as social media strategy, consumer behaviour, branding, digital marketing, content creation, advertising, analytics, and marketing management. The programme focuses on both creativity and strategic thinking, encouraging students to develop campaigns, analyse market trends, and understand audience engagement across different platforms.
Students also build transferable skills including communication, project management, teamwork, analytical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving, preparing them for careers within marketing, media, and digital industries.

- Financed by Student Finance England
The Tuition Fee of the course may vary depending on the institution you wish to study at, as well as your status in the UK. The course is available for UK/EU & International Students and eligible for Student Loans Company (SLC) funding to help cover the cost of your tuition fees and other expenses.
If you are an UK/EU citizen or living in the UK on an Indefinite stay, apart from the tuition fees, you could also receive support from the government via Student Loans Company to cover some living costs while studying.
Fees breakdown
- Tuition fee loans cover the full cost of your course and are paid directly to the course provider.
- Maintenance Loan pays for day-to-day living expenses like rent, bills, food and books. Unlike the fees loan, it's paid directly to your student bank account once a term and you can spend it on anything you like.
- Student Finance has to be paid back, however, you only make Student Loan repayments once you've left your course AND are earning enough. Repayments vary with your salary, and stop altogether if your income drops too low.
- Students can also apply for other types of special support grants, such as childcare grants or Disabled Students' Allowance if eligible.
- Moreover, almost all universities offer a selection of student bursaries. These are cash gifts you usually don't have to repay.
