Applicants must provide proof of their highest academic qualification, which can include:

  • Level 2 Qualifications or equivalent (e.g., GCSEs, Level 2 NVQ, diplomas, certificates)

 

✅ English Proficiency and Admission Process

If English is not your first language, you must complete an English language test that assesses speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. We also accept a range of other English language qualifications.

Applicants will also need to attend an interview with a member of the admissions team.

Course overview

The BSc (Hons) Healthcare Leadership with Foundation Year is designed for students who want to develop the knowledge, leadership skills, and professional understanding needed to manage and improve healthcare services. The course combines healthcare principles with management and leadership practices, preparing students to work effectively within a wide range of health and social care settings.

The Foundation Year provides students with additional academic support while introducing key concepts related to healthcare, communication, research, and professional development. It helps students build confidence and the essential study skills required before progressing to degree-level modules.

Throughout the programme, students explore areas such as healthcare policy, leadership, service improvement, patient-centred care, quality management, organisational behaviour, and public health. The course encourages students to understand the challenges facing modern healthcare systems while developing the skills needed to lead teams, manage services, and support high-quality patient care.

Course fee per year: £9.535

The Tuition Fee of the course may vary depending on the institution you wish to study at, as well as your status in the UK. The course is available for UK/EU & International Students and eligible for Student Loans Company (SLC) funding to help cover the cost of your tuition fees and other expenses.

If you are an UK/EU citizen or living in the UK on an Indefinite stay, apart from the tuition fees, you could also receive support from the government via Student Loans Company to cover some living costs while studying.
