If English is not your first language, you must complete an English language test that assesses speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. We also accept a range of other English language qualifications.

Applicants will also need to attend an interview with a member of the admissions team.

Course overview

The FdSc Computing and Digital Futures programme prepares students for the fast-changing digital world by developing both technical computing skills and an understanding of emerging technologies today. You will study key areas such as programming, web development, data management and cybersecurity, alongside exploring how digital technologies shape industries and society as a whole.

The course aims to build your ability to design, develop and implement digital solutions across the board, while also encouraging critical thinking about the ethical and social implications of technology in today’s complex world. You will gain practical experience through a variety of projects that simulate workplace scenarios, preparing you for roles in IT support, software development, digital consultancy, etc.
With technology evolving at an unprecedented pace today, this foundation degree is ideal for students seeking a strong grounding in computing fundamentals combined with an eye on future trends. It also serves as a pathway to further study in computer science – related fields or various specialisations.

Course fee per year: £9.535

The Tuition Fee of the course may vary depending on the institution you wish to study at, as well as your status in the UK. The course is available for UK/EU & International Students and eligible for Student Loans Company (SLC) funding to help cover the cost of your tuition fees and other expenses.

If you are an UK/EU citizen or living in the UK on an Indefinite stay, apart from the tuition fees, you could also receive support from the government via Student Loans Company to cover some living costs while studying.
