Course overview

This three‑year degree is crafted for the modern musician. What that means is that you’ll combine live performance, songwriting and studio production right from the get go. You’ll learn from industry professionals and train in state‑of‑the‑art studios, emerging as a confident performer and a capable producer.

You’ll dig into music theory, harmony and programming while working on your principal instrument or voice. You’ll start building your own tracks and performing in front of small audiences at the beginning. As you progress towards the end of the degree, you’ll develop deeper skills in songwriting, arranging and studio‑based production, culminating in a substantial portfolio of original music.
Apart from the creative work, you’ll dive into the music industry side: building your brand, using social channels efficiently, learning release strategy and networking with professionals. Workshops and guest sessions consistently connect you with working creatives and professionals across genres.

You’ll graduate not only with a strong body of musical work but also the know‑how to manage your own career, whether that refers to gigs, studio work, touring or teaching. Alumni have gone on to be session musicians, music directors, producers, and even lecturers, along with several other career paths.
Starting in September, the per year tuition fee ensures participating in the course, which, in turn, includes industry placements, recording opportunities at central London’s Music Box campus and regular performance events. Class sizes are small, so you benefit from individual feedback and one-to-one coaching.
