This award is available as a top-up for students who have normally completed an HND in Business Management, Foundation Degree Business Management (or related subject) or ILM Diploma.

However, many students gain entry via ILM, supervisory NEBBS, IM Certificate, Graduate Certificate in Management Studies (GCMS), and also non-business qualifications such as HNC or HND in computing, HNC or HND in tourism and leisure etc.

Additional study may be required for students with non-business specific entry qualifications.

Course overview

The BA (Hons) Business Management Top-Up is designed for students who already hold a relevant Level 5 qualification and want to progress to a full undergraduate degree in business management. The course focuses on developing advanced business knowledge, strategic thinking, leadership abilities, and professional management skills required in modern organisations.
Throughout the programme, students explore key areas such as strategic management, leadership, organisational behaviour, innovation, entrepreneurship, marketing, and business operations. The course combines academic theory with practical application, helping students analyse business challenges, evaluate organisational performance, and make informed management decisions within competitive business environments.
Students also strengthen transferable skills including communication, teamwork, analytical thinking, leadership, problem-solving, and project management, preparing them for a wide range of professional opportunities across different industries.

Fees & funding

Course fee per year: £9.535

The Tuition Fee of the course may vary depending on the institution you wish to study at, as well as your status in the UK. The course is available for UK/EU & International Students and eligible for Student Loans Company (SLC) funding to help cover the cost of your tuition fees and other expenses.

If you are an UK/EU citizen or living in the UK on an Indefinite stay, apart from the tuition fees, you could also receive support from the government via Student Loans Company to cover some living costs while studying.
